Top 20 Miss North Carolina USA 2012



     Jodie is a Client Account Coordinator, at the headquarters for a global sales performance improvement firm dedicated to helping the world's leading corporations elevate their sales relationships and drive measurable, sustainable revenue growth. Jodie attributes much of her success to the International Business courses taken at Lynn University in South Florida. She continued her education in Communication Studies at The College of Charleston, in South Carolina before finally settling in Charlotte, NC. She looks forward to continuing her education in French Studies to enhance her international business relationships. Her educational background has equipped her with the knowledge, confidence and drive to work successfully in such a competitive international industry. Not only can one find Jodie in the boardroom with executives, you may also run into her around Charlotte training for her next marathon. For The Biggest Loser auditions held in Charlotte, Jodie was one of the Casting Selectors and she modeled at Charlotte Fashion Week in the "Miles of Impact" fashion show. Sonya Barnes, Founder of International Fashion Style Academy (IFSA) invited Jodie to be a guest at the 2011 Nordstrom's private party and Webber Dentistry named Jodie their official spokesmodel for their ad campaigns and events.  Miss Charlotte USA is clearly a busy woman; she knows how to balance a demanding lifestyle with work, leisure and giving back to her community. Charity is always a priority in Jodie's life. She gives her time to Hands on Charlotte, the Charlotte Chapter of Autism Services, the Susan G Komen Foundation and most recently, she became a mentor in building self-esteem in young girls through the Charlotte Dove Movement.  Pageantry is a new venture for Jodie. Winning Miss Charlotte USA in July this year is her first official crown and title. She has come a long way from that young, carefree girl raised on a farm, swinging from muscadine grape vines for fun, to the beautiful, multi-faceted woman who is representing the city of Charlotte on all levels. Along with her supportive family, friends, business associates and sponsors, Jodie is embracing every cherished moment of her reign. She is looking forward to making the same impact on a statewide and national level in the year to come. Jodie will be competing with young women from all over the state of North Carolina in her quest to be crowned Miss North Carolina USA in High Point on November 11-12, 2011.
