Jessica is the 17 year old daughter of Pamela & Kevin Lucas of Roseboro, NC and attends high school as a senior at Lakewood. She is an honor roll student and active in the Beta Club, art club, science club, key club, media club, year book staff, FBLA club, PGC Mentor, and is active on the golf team. Jessica also films the sporting events at her school for the local newspaper. She was recently featured in the Sampson Independent paper for her achievements and being 1 of the only 2 females to ever play on the golf team in Sampson County.
Jessica is in the top 12 of her class and has been awarded with the art award, PGC Mentor of the year award as well as Academic All-Star. Jessica is also an actor, model and loves to sing, ride horses, paint, draw, read, bake and decorate cakes. She has appeared in Fashion shows, the Westcott photography magazine, Super Models Unlimited magazine, Pride Of Pageantry magazine, Glitzy Girl Magazine, Lifestyles magazine for the Fayetteville Observer and has written an article for Glitzy Girl magazine called "Teen Trends". Her acting skills have helped to get a part in and upcoming movie promo called "Death of a Vampire" and a movie promo for "Awakenings". She has shot print work for multiple movie roles as well.
Jessica started a program called "Decorate A Piece" It is a program where she and classmates go into assisted living facilities or nursing homes to paint murals on the walls or take them art painted by the students to brighten up the drab areas they live in. She has participated in events such as the Lotus Survival Foundations Fundraiser, "Laughter for the Cause". She plans on working with local charities such as the Humane Society, Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity, Stomp out Bullying, and many other charities. She also plans on starting a new program in her community call "Manners Matter", where she will teach local kids important manners that will help them in their everyday activities. Jessica has worked with the Falcon Children's Home for the past two years. She has gotten her school involved by getting clubs at Lakewood to sponsor a child by buying Christmas presents for that child. Jessica stays busy, but she likes it that way. Jessica hopes that her title will enable her to have a bigger voice to take her charity state wide and one day nationwide. Her motto is "I am a mentor first and a beauty queen second".
